Our microscope technician has 25 years of experience in optics, 14 years of experience as a microscope field technician and factory training from both Nikon & Olympus. Why should you service your microscope?
Regular periodic maintenance of your microscopes insures you see the details necessary to make critical diagnoses. Microscopes require regular cleaning & adjustment to maintain their best performance and to extend their durability. Focus mechanisms & mechanical stages wear over time and require adjustment.

Our Preventative Microscope Maintenance includes:

 -a multi-point inspection and cleaning of all optic
-precision Kohler Alignment 
-alignment of the light source
       -inspection of the alignment of the binocular head
                   – inspection & adjustment of the focus mechanism to eliminate drift
                            -inspection of the mechanical stage & slide finger                                      -inspection of the Parfocality of Objectives eliminating large focus gaps between powers
                          – inspection of the AC Power Cord for safety & integrity         -precise cleaning of the 100X Oil Objective.
                       -inspection of the light source. External cleaning of the microscope frame & stage.
                 – provision of a Field Service Report upon request.

How often should your microscopes be serviced?
As an example, the average service interval for a veterinary practice cytology or fecal microscope is 1 year but often is needed every 6 months in a very busy practice.

 Telescope Service
Gulf Coast Microscopes & Telescopes offers precision cleaning & collimation services for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and Newtonian Reflector telescopes. Our telescope service technician has over 20 years of experience in servicing telescopes. We do on-site maintenance for larger telescopes and offer pickup & delivery on smaller telescopes with a very rapid turnaround time. We can also do maintenance and repairs on a large variety of other types of telescopes. Please contact us for an estimate.
